Horse racing dates, UK, 1891

Crossposted from my own journal.

I can't figure out how to do without hitting up a very good library, and I'm hoping someone has some idea how to find this out online (or perhaps works in a library with microfilm of old newspapers?)

The 2,000 Guineas Stakes is held at Newmarket in late April or early May each year. Can anyone tell me the exact date on which it was held in 1891? I suspect newspaper archives may be key here, but I'm not sure whether any UK newspapers have full archives online going back that far. (The New York Times didn't report it, for what it's worth.)

If it helps at all, the winner that year was "Common".

EDIT: answer found over on my journal: April 29th. Details here.
